How to install
- 1 After the payment is matched we prepare your eSIM by hand. When it is ready we send you the link by SMS or email, and it is in your order as a QR code.
- 2 On the phone that will use it, open Settings → Mobile (or Connections) → Add eSIM and scan the QR code. On an iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later, the install button on that page does it in one tap.
- 3 Install while you have Wi-Fi or mobile data, and do not delete the eSIM afterwards: it cannot be installed a second time.
- 4 When you land, turn on Data Roaming for this eSIM and choose it for mobile data.
Questions
Why is this one not instant?
Not instant: we prepare this eSIM by hand. Usually within 2 hours, 12 hours at most. We buy it for you after your payment is matched, which is why it usually costs less. You get the same QR install page as with any plan, by SMS or email. If you travel within a few hours, choose a plan marked Instant instead.
When should I install it?
Any time before you travel, while you have internet. The validity only starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at the destination.
Can I get a refund?
This package is prepared by hand, so it cannot be cancelled from your account the way an Instant plan can. If something is wrong with it, contact us with your order number before you install it. Once it has been installed on a phone there is no refund.
Can I keep the eSIM after the trip?
This plan cannot be topped up: when the data or the days run out it stops working, and you can then remove it from the phone. For the next trip you buy a new eSIM.
Does my own SIM keep working?
Yes. Your own SIM stays in the phone for calls and SMS. To avoid roaming charges from your operator, keep data roaming off on that line and use the eSIM for mobile data.
Does it come with a phone number?
No. It is a data plan: WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram and other internet calls work as usual; regular calls and SMS do not.
Will it work on my phone?
The phone needs eSIM and must not be locked to one operator. Look your model up, or ask the phone itself.
- Dial *#06# on the phone. If the screen that opens shows an EID number, the phone has eSIM. No EID there usually means it has none.
- The phone must be carrier-unlocked. A phone locked to one operator refuses any other operator’s eSIM. If it was bought on a contract, ask that operator whether it is locked.
